We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) to join a fast-paced Surgical Services team for a 13-week travel assignment. In this role, you will support surgical procedures by ensuring a sterile environment, preparing operating rooms, and assisting surgeons and clinical staff. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of perioperative practices and the ability to thrive in high-acuity settings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures
  • Set up operating rooms with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
  • Ensure proper handling, sterilization, and organization of surgical instruments
  • Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols at all times
  • Support patient positioning, prepping, and intraoperative care
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other OR staff
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with perioperative standards
  • Respond quickly and efficiently in high-pressure surgical environments


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or equivalent
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and patient care
  • Prior experience in Obstetrics / Labor & Delivery surgical settings
  • Previous travel assignment experience


Important Details:

  • 13-week contract position
  • Shift is Day 3x11.5-Hour (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM), 34.5 hrs/week
  • Location is New York, NY 10065
  • Pay Range for Locals: $42 - $47 per hour
