Job Description
JINSA, a non-profit, non-partisan policy think tank focused on strengthening U.S. national security and the U.S.-Israel security relationship, seeks a Digital Communications Associate to assist with the development and curation of JINSA’s social, video, and digital communications assets. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing digital communications strategies that strengthen JINSA’s visibility and credibility. The role will also support media relations efforts and engage with JINSA’s policy and program departments. Duties may include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the organization’s social media content calendar in coordination with the Communications Director.
- Create compelling, mission-driven social content, including producing short-form videos,that highlight the organizations experts, programs, and policy work.
- Coordinate with JINSA scholars and staff to ensure timely dissemination of policy-relevant research.
- Post and edit content for the organization’s website.
- Evaluate and refine JINSA’s social strategy by reporting on performance using native analytics and adopting a test-and-learn approach.
- Support the communications department’s day-to-day activities by maintaining targeted press lists, monitoring and reporting media coverage, or drafting materials such as talking points, one-pagers, or press releases as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field.
- 1-2+ years of experience creating and editing graphics and videos for social media for a professional organization.
- Expert and active user of multiple social platforms (e.g., X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Instagram, and Facebook), with demonstrated social media content production experience for professional organizations.
- Knowledge of digital publishing protocols and analytics such as Sprout Social or LinkedIn Analytics.
- Proficiency with content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut with ability to produce social-ready content as needed.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively across teams.
- An understanding and interest in U.S. foreign policy and the Middle East.
