Location: Moorestown, NJ (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Compensation:

• Base Salary: Targeting ~$125K (flexible up to ~$135–140K for the right candidate)
• Bonus: Eligible (discretionary)

Company Overview

We are the U.S. arm of a well‑established, international distribution company with operations across the UK, Australia, and multiple global markets. The company generates approximately with 200 employees worldwide.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of finance operations for the U.S. business while working closely with international leadership.

Position Overview

This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance for the U.S. entity. The position reports to the global CFO and plays a key role in process improvement, financial analytics, and cross‑functional partnership.

You will manage a small accounting team, work closely with sales and operations, and act as the primary financial liaison with external partners and international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the month end close process and general day to day accounting functions.
• Lead and supervise a team of 3 accounting professionals (AR, AP, Staff Accountant)
• Provide oversight of pricing, margin analysis, and FP&A functions
• Own the relationship with the external audit firm and support audit activities
• Manage sales tax compliance using Avalara
• Maintain and manage key banking relationships
• Oversee inventory accounting including bill of materials, inventory valuation, and controls
• Partner closely with the Purchasing Manager and operations team
• Support financial activity across U.S., Canada, and South America
• Manage foreign exchange exposure and related reporting
• Prepare and deliver financial reporting to the UK-based leadership team
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and the General Manager to support business growth
• Drive process improvements, system efficiencies, and scalable controls as the business evolves

Must‑Have Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Prior experience managing inventory operations (strongly preferred)
• Leadership mindset with the ability to hire and build out a team as needed
• Experience improving and building processes, controls, and reporting structures
• Comfortable working in a growing, evolving environment
• Exposure to international financial reporting and foreign currencies
• Industry background is flexible — manufacturing, distribution, or product‑based environments are a plus
