Mechanical Engineer

Employment Solutions of NY is partnering with a well-established manufacturer to hire a Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineer. This successful company specializes in producing high precision metal components for a diversified range of industries including: aerospace, computer, electronics, fuel cells, filtration devices, radio antennas.

Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000/year

Responsibilities:

• Generate new routing WIs and update existing WIs
• Champion FAIRs and PPAPs per customer requests
• Production floor support as needed
• SolidWorks design work as needed
• Liaison between the quality group and manufacturing to help ensure stable production output to minimize customer returns and in-process delays
• Assist with LEAN projects as needed
• Assist in programming automated inspection equipment
• Use SPC data analysis to improve production processes and standardize
• Help with material verification review and retention
• Troubleshoot maintenance and repairs on production machines

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering
• 5+ years of mechanical or manufacturing engineering experience
• Process Improvement experience in manufacturing and production industries
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO9001 and AS9100 a plus
• Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Familiar with ERP/MRP systems (E2/Job Boss a plus)
• Experience with chemical etching, plating, metal forming or metal working a plus
