SolComms, an award-winning integrated communications agency for startups and scale-ups at the intersection of corporate and consumer communications, is now accepting applications for an associate to join our dynamic Influencer Marketing team this summer.

Designed for recent graduates pursuing a career in Influencer Marketing, the Summer Associate Program offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in an entry-level agency role. The Associate will work across a diverse portfolio of B2B and consumer-facing clients spanning the healthcare, digital health, and technology sectors, building practical skills in talent sourcing, trend forecasting, and client communications.

At the conclusion of the program, the associate will complete a capstone, project-based assignment. Participants will select a client they’ve supported and develop a fully realized, viral campaign concept to present to the agency’s leadership team.

After the program, we may consider the associate for a full-time position with the agency, pending a review of their performance and training experience.

The paid Summer Associate Program runs for 12 weeks, from June 1 through August 30 (Monday-Thursday). The majority of the program will take place on-site at our New York City office, with the final month transitioning to a remote format. Associates are expected to work four days per week.

Throughout the program, you’ll gain hands-on experience and learn how to:

Administrative & Trend Monitoring

  • Conduct daily and weekly audits, flagging influencer coverage and relevant news pertaining to your clients across all mediums, including: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Substacks, etc.
  • Handle daily management of influencer trackers, ensuring they’re updated in real time.
  • Create all client call agendas and recaps.
  • Monitor and flag relevant social media trends and influencer life events, like pregnancies or engagements, to applicable clients for gifting or engagement opportunities.
  • Set up and manage CreatorIQ campaigns, Mighty Scout, and Superfilliate tracking for all clients to monitor performance and coverage.

Influencer Relations & Sourcing

  • Own the development of all earned seeding lists and support the Associate Director in sourcing for paid campaigns, as needed.
  • Identify and flag high-impact influencers for gifting opportunities or potential long-term brand partnerships.
  • Maintain and update the internal CRM with notes on influencer responsiveness to assist the team with future sourcing.
  • Own earned seeing the lifecycle for all clients, including:
  • Draft initial mailer outreach notes and gifting pitches for review.
  • Reaching out to all influencers and agents
  • Managing addresses and shipping timelines
  • Conducting follow-ups, as needed/sharing tracking, as available
  • Manage all inbound requests from influencers per account, sharing a POV on a partnership, and closing the loop with each.

Campaign Execution & Support

  • Manage the physical side of gifting, including maintaining office product inventory, ordering mailer materials, and managing all shipping logistics via FedEx or USPS.

Events & Partnerships

  • Participate in building targeted invite lists for events, inclusive of influencers and tastemakers.
  • Assist with ordering and retrieving event materials, such as branded assets, partnership outreach, and gift bag contents.
  • Provide on-site support for event setup, check-in, and staffing.
  • Monitor social platforms for tags and coverage during live events to capture content for real-time reporting.
  • Create all face sheets, ROS, and prep materials pre-event.
  • Manage calendar invites and confirmation notes for all influencers pre-event.

Reporting & Client Communications

  • Share proactive updates on earned seeding each day with the Associate Director.
  • Help draft the influencer section for any monthly upfronts, then pass them to the Associate Director to complete and finalize.
  • Flag earned seeding coverage for the client daily and provided weekly status updates on gifting performance.
  • Actively participate in client calls, team brainstorms, and strategy planning sessions.
