Finance Specialist / Cost Control Manager
A financial strategist driving planning, forecasting, and performance insights of Manufacturing Facilities:
- A cost accounting authority who understands manufacturing from raw material to finished machine
- A direct executive support partner to the President/General Manager, ensuring clarity, speed, and alignment in decision-making
You will own financial truth in the organization—how it’s measured, interpreted, and acted upon.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly re-forecast cycles
- Build executive-level financial models that translate operations into strategy
- Deliver sharp variance analysis with clear, actionable insight (not just reporting gaps)
- Support scenario planning for pricing, production, supply chain, and margin optimization
Manufacturing Cost Intelligence
- Own end-to-end manufacturing cost analysis (labor, materials, overhead, logistics)
- Track and interpret production efficiency, yield, scrap, and cost drivers
- Partner directly with Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Sales to understand real operational inputs
- Support COGS, WIP, and inventory accounting during month-end close
Executive / President Support (CPA + PA Hybrid Function)
- Act as financial extension of the General Manager
- Prepare executive briefings, decision packs, and financial narratives
- Filter complexity into clarity—what matters, why it matters, and what to do next
- Ensure leadership has real-time, accurate financial visibility to drive decisions
Systems, ERP & Transformation
- Serve as finance lead / key user in SAP S4 implementation
- Define cost accounting and FP&A requirements for an actual-cost manufacturing environment
- Support data migration, UAT, validation, and post-go-live stabilization
- Identify and eliminate manual processes through ERP and reporting automation
- Improve financial data integrity, speed, and usability across the organization
Controls, Compliance & Close
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and internal accounting policies
- Support internal and external audit requirements
- Strengthen month-end close discipline and reporting accuracy
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred)
- 5–10+ years in FP&A, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance
- Deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures and inventory accounting
- Strong hands-on Excel modeling capability (this is not a “delegation-only” role)
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience strongly preferred
- Exposure to ERP implementations, data migration, or BI/reporting tools is a major plus
- Ability to operate independently in a standalone finance leadership role
- Comfort working with global teams across time zones
- Strong executive presence—able to influence decisions, not just report numbers
