About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to spearhead global efforts in engaging individual and family donors, as well as corporate partners, to support its campaigns. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive development plan, building strong donor relationships, and managing a team to achieve ambitious fundraising goals. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in fundraising, including the ability to lead at the $20 million level and to grow revenue beyond that threshold. The Vice President will work closely with the Executive team, the Board of Directors, and various departments to ensure consistent messaging, and donor engagement, and to meet financial and legal requirements. Candidates for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a CFRE certification, with at least 15 years of fundraising experience, including 5 years in a senior leadership role. The role demands a leader with a strong background in fundraising from high-net-worth individuals, family foundations, and corporate partnerships, as well as experience in leading high-end fundraising events. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A passion for the company's mission, a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of professional and ethical conduct are essential. The role also requires the ability to travel extensively for donor solicitation, stewardship, and fundraising events.
