Job SummaryJob Summary We are seeking an experienced Machine Setup Technician/Machinist to support our machine shop operations. This role is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and optimizing production equipment, as well as supporting and training operators on the floor, and producing/maintaining basic tooling. This is a key, high-impact position within our facility, with strong long-term stability. Essential Job Functions
- Perform complete setups and changeovers on:
- Impact letter stamping presses.
- Wire forming equipment.
- Drill Presses and Kick Presses
- Spot Welders
- Adjust machine parameters to ensure quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process-related issues.
- Support and train operators on proper machine operation and best practices.
- Work closely with production leadership to meet schedules and delivery targets.
- Assist in continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor.
- (Preferred) Support tooling adjustments, maintenance, or fabrication as needed.
- Employees may be required to perform other related duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Proven experience performing setups on wire forming or similar forming equipment.
- Strong understanding of metal forming processes.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of setups and process performance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings / blueprints.
- Hands-on problem solver with a practical mindset
- Experience as a toolmaker or working with tooling (dies, fixtures, etc.)
- Experience with troubleshooting process and optimization

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift in Manufacturing environment.
- Frequent use of hands for handling machine components
- Capable of performing repetitive motion such as gripping, bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch to access machinery and perform setups or adjustments.
- Visual acuity required for reading gauges, blueprints, and inspecting small or detailed components.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to moving mechanical and operating machinery.
- Moderate to high noise levels
- Environment may include varying temperature depending on production area and season.
