Location: Florence, SC (onsite from Day 1)

What You'll Do:

This position is for a mechanical engineer to provide design and support for the Otis Gen3 products. The position will play a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, evaluating opportunities, and integrating new component designs into existing systems, while working to meet agreed upon cost, reliability, and schedule commitments.

Responsibilities:

· Typical responsibilities include structural analysis, design, implementation, and testing of a wide range of elevator components.

· The candidate should have a strong mechanical engineering background with experience working in a cross functional team environment.

Required Qualifications:

· BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering

· Creo (CAD Software)

· Microsoft Office

· Sound mechanical engineering background (mechanical and system modeling and design, component modeling and design)

· Strong communications and leadership ability

Preferred Qualifications:

· Mechanical Structural Analysis with Ansys or other FEA software

· Sound mechanical engineering background (mechanical and system modeling and design, component modeling and design)

· Creo / Pro Engineer

· Mechanical structural analysis with Ansys or other FEA Software

· Design documentation with Mathcad

· Hands-on testing experience

· Strong communications and leadership ability

· Experience with test and measurement equipment

· Elevator systems knowledge preferred but not required
