Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA with strong month-end close and financial reporting experience to step into a visible leadership role supporting a national operation.

This position will oversee core accounting functions, manage and mentor a small team, and partner cross-functionally to improve processes, controls, and reporting accuracy within a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
• Oversee accounting areas including revenue recognition, lease accounting, payroll, and cash management
• Partner with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting processes
• Support budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis activities
• Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Assist with external audits and coordinate with third-party tax providers
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Active CPA required
• 5+ years of accounting experience within public accounting, industry, or a combination of both
• Strong Excel skills
