Accounting Manager

- $160,000 - 170,000 + Discretionary Bonus

- Privately Held, Facilities Management Company (High-End Clients)

- Hybrid (3 days in Office)

- Must have: NetSuite Experience, Bachelor's Degree or higher, Management Experience (you will have 5 direct reports, Staffs and Seniors).

- Reports directly to the Controller.

Overview:

This leadership role directs core accounting workflows and supervises the corporate reporting staff, ensuring the integrity and punctuality of all financial deliverables. Reporting straight to the Controller, the position works in tandem with cross-functional divisions—including receivables, disbursements, and treasury management—to govern the entire closing cycle and head up external audits. The ideal candidate pairs a robust command of regulatory compliance and GAAP with deep financial systems expertise, leveraging sharp analytical acumen to upgrade internal controls and optimize efficiency across the broader finance enterprise.

Core Responsibilities:

Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Closing & Ledger Governance: Direct the comprehensive month-end and annual financial closing cycles, utilizing structured timelines and verification checklists to guarantee punctual deliverables.
  • Transactional Oversight: Supervise the documentation of corporate fiscal activity—spanning assets, obligations, equity, and operational outlays—while checking and authorizing both standard and complex ledger inputs (such as deferred revenue, adjustments, and specialized group allocations).
  • System & Account Validation: Monitor the verification of banking records for non-revenue activity, partner with leadership to standardize the organizational chart of accounts, and manage balance sheet data entry within enterprise ERP software.
  • Compliance & Audit Defense: Formulate and enforce internal accounting controls and procedural frameworks, author periodic financial summaries, and serve as the main liaison providing documentation to external audit and regulatory bodies.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate closely with billing and accounts receivable units to ensure flawless revenue matching and compliance with GAAP frameworks.

Payroll & Outlay Supervision

  • Compensation Accounting: Oversee the weekly allocation, entry, and balancing of payroll expenses and associated liabilities.
  • Liquidity Verification: Confirm that cash reserves are sufficiently positioned to meet weekly funding demands and anticipated payroll disbursements.
  • Annual Auditing: Maintain an ongoing, comprehensive year-end reconciliation of all internal labor and compensation costs.

Team Leadership & Operational Management

  • Staff Mentorship: Guide, train, and evaluate the core accounting personnel, establishing a high-performance culture focused on professional development and adherence to standard practices.
  • Personnel Administration: Handle daily staff monitoring, resource allocation, and coverage planning for time-off requests alongside senior leadership.
  • Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to scale financial workflows, and spearhead special cross-functional projects as directed by executive management.
