Accounting Manager

Hiring: Accounting Manager / GL Manager | Reston, VA (Hybrid)

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the month-end close process, improving accounting operations, and leading a team while still staying involved in the day-to-day accounting work.

Compensation: $130K–$140K

Location: Reston, VA

Hybrid Schedule: 1–2 days on site

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

• Oversee general ledger operations and balance sheet reconciliations

• Manage audits, compliance, and reporting activities

• Support indirect rate calculations, cost pools, and financial analysis

• Drive process improvements and accounting efficiencies

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff

• Partner cross-functionally with AP, AR, Payroll, and Operations teams

What They’re Looking For:

• 6–10+ years of accounting experience within government contracting

• Strong understanding of FAR, GAAP, CAS, DCAA, and audit support

• Leadership experience managing accounting teams

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Advanced Excel skills

• CPA/CMA highly preferred
