Library Educational Technician III
Under the general supervision of the Principal and Elementary Librarian, to assist students, and teaching staff with an enriching library/media center environment with a wide range of reading and other educational materials; maintains library collection at school site; develops appropriate programs for students utilizing library resources; and instructs students and others on the proper use of the library resources.
The Carl J. Lamb School is currently seeking a Library Educational Technician III. The successful candidate will:
- Run the circulation desk;
- Check students into and out of the library;
- Plan library experiences for students in conjunction with the District Librarian;
- Use Destiny Library Manager system to maintain library records which include issuing overdue notices, inventory, and updating patron records;
- Maintain discipline and behavior protocols;
- Keep track of library supplies and submits needs to the District Elementary Librarian;
- Help maintain the physical space.
- Teach literacy and STEAM lessons planned by the District Librarian.
Position Type: Full-time
Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Equipment: Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
Travel Requirements: Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

- Ed Tech III Certification
- A love of literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive attitude
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Friendly, reliable, customer service oriented, and yet firm while managing students.
- Skilled use of computers
- CHRC (fingerprinting)
- No experience required
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required?

- Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed

- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents

Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards: Works in standard office and school building environments.
Certification/License: Maine Certified Educational Technician III Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
