Key Responsibilities
- Manage a docket of property and casualty litigation matters, including insurance defense cases
- Take an active role in all phases of litigation, from initial case evaluation through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Conduct depositions and attend hearings, mediations, and trials
- Develop case strategies and provide thoughtful recommendations to clients
- Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, experts, and opposing counsel
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing with the Texas State Bar
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in property & casualty or insurance defense litigation
- Ability to independently manage cases and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working onsite in Houston
- Trial or second-chair trial experience
- Experience with coverage issues or bad faith claims
