Senior Optical Support Engineer

We are looking for a SENIOR level Optical Support Engineer to be a focal point on a specialized team! You’ll be the front line for this clients’ customers, blending advanced technical expertise with hands-on problem-solving. If you’re passionate about DWDM, Ethernet, and cutting-edge optical transport technologies, this is your chance to make a real impact in a global telecom leader.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct lab/field trials for DWDM and Ethernet solutions.
• Develop/execute test plans and MOPs for deployments.
• Provide technical support via email, phone, and portal.
• Train customers on transport platforms and network tools.
• Manage support tickets and RMAs efficiently.
• Travel up to 50% for on-site client support.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5–10 years in Ethernet/DWDM design, provisioning, or engineering.
• Experience in carrier/ISP environments.
• Knowledge of dark fiber, SONET, DWDM, IP, and Ethernet.
• Familiarity with DWDM parameters (OSNR, FEC) and test tools (OSA, OTDR).
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex tech.
• Engineering degree (DWDM focus a plus).
