Accounting Manager

GCB Industries is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to help lead and scale our accounting function as the company continues to grow. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building processes, improving efficiency, and operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

The Accounting Manager will report directly to the CFO and supervise a small accounting team while partnering closely with operations and leadership teams to improve financial visibility, billing performance, cash flow, and overall accounting processes.

This is not a passive corporate accounting role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, improving systems, and helping build a scalable accounting department.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing month-end close and financial reporting support
• Overseeing billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes
• Supporting job costing, WIP tracking, and project/service accounting
• Improving invoice cycle time and accounting workflows
• Managing general ledger reconciliations and accounting accuracy
• Supporting accounts payable oversight and internal controls
• Supervising and developing Staff Accountant
• Helping optimize NetSuite and accounting processes as the company grows

Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility
• NetSuite experience required
• Experience in construction, industrial services, mechanical/HVAC, field service, or project-based accounting strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of billing, job costing, and project accounting
• Strong Excel, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
