Procurement specialist

Location: Bear Creek, AL (Fully Onsite)
Salary: $68,000 – $78,000

Dave Carter & Associates is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support procurement operations across multiple product lines within a fast-paced distribution environment. This role will focus on vendor management, inventory support, purchasing analysis, and maintaining efficient supply chain operations.

• Execute purchasing activities, process purchase orders, and manage supplier relationships across multiple product categories.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and purchasing terms while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with sales, operations, and warehouse teams to support customer demand and operational efficiency.
• Analyze purchasing trends, maintain procurement records, and resolve supplier, shipping, and invoice discrepancies.

• Minimum 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within manufacturing or distribution environments preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP or inventory management systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced onsite environment with strong attention to detail and customer service focus.
