POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for preventative and emergency maintenance of farm tractors and farm equipment. Always improving. Always serving. Always winning together. Exceeding expectations every day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on tractors and equipment
- Thoroughly cleans tractor and equipment parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary
- Oils and lubricates moving parts on tractors and equipment to ensure effective performance
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts
- Orders and installs replacement parts for tractors and equipment
- Identify the causes of unexpected breakdowns of tractors and equipment
- Repairs broken tractors and equipment quickly and efficiently
- Prepare reports documenting work performed
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies
- Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on tractors and equipment
- Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with Farm Operations Manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required
- Fill in throughout the farm positions that may need extra support during the peak seasons
- Trouble shoot and repair irrigation pivots
- Performs other duties as necessary or assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required
- Extensive mechanical and electrical experience, preferably farm and irrigation equipment
- Diesel Engine experience

- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills
- Works well independently
- Good communication skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Manage priorities and workload and willingness to work in different departments as Farm demands change
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery
- Must be able to visually inspect machines
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas
- Exposure to airborne particles or fumes
- Ability to withstand cold and warm working conditions
- Must be able to navigate various terrains while at farming locations and all departments of the organization's physical premises
