Accounting Manager – High-Growth CPG Platform

Location: Arlington, TX (Hybrid: 3 Days In-Office / 2 Days Remote)

Client Scale: $10M (Fresh, High-Growth Consumer Goods Brand)

Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 Base + 5% 401(k) Match + Unlimited PTO & Elite Benefits

We are currently partnering with the CEO and Owner of a fresh, rapidly expanding $10M Consumer Goods company based in Arlington, TX, to identify a high-caliber Accounting Manager.

Because of the specialized nature of their business model, prior experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is strictly required for this role.

Position Overview & Impact

• Lead & Mentor: You will inherit and lead a lean, capable two-person accounting team, driving a collaborative and efficient workflow.
• Trade Spend Management: You will own the accounting, tracking, and reconciliation behind trade spend (promotions, distributor discounts, chargebacks, and retailer deductions). We need someone who deeply understands how trade spend impacts net revenue and the overall P&L.
• Process Optimization: My client needs someone who can look at their current accounting ecosystem with a critical eye. You will be empowered to dismantle manual workflows, implement modern efficiencies, and build a scalable accounting infrastructure.
• Executive Visibility: You will report directly to and interact daily with the CEO/Owner. This is not a "behind the scenes" number-crunching role—you will be adding real strategic value and providing the financial visibility needed for major corporate growth initiatives.
• Core Financial Management: Oversee the month-end close process, financial statement preparation, AP/AR oversight, and ensure bulletproof transactional accuracy tailored to a fast-moving inventory environment.

Required Candidate Profile

• CPG Industry Experience (Required): Must have direct corporate accounting experience within Consumer Packaged Goods, retail, or distribution, with a rock-solid understanding of inventory and COGS.
• Trade Spend Expertise (Required): Proven hands-on experience managing the accounting mechanics behind trade spend, including managing deductions, auditing retailer claims, and tracking promotional spend.
• Experience Level: 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience. This is a perfect match for a high-performing Senior Accountant ready to step up, or an existing Manager looking for a high-growth environment with less red tape.
• The "Builder" Mindset: A proven track record of identifying inefficiencies in processes or systems and successfully streamlining them.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
