Accounting Supervisor

We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor with a strong background in manufacturing accounting to lead core financial operations and support strategic decision-making. This role is responsible for overseeing cost accounting, inventory management, financial reporting, and staff leadership, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Lead and manage cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and product costing
• Maintain and optimize inventory accounting, including valuation, reconciliation, and cycle count processes
• Develop and enforce strong internal controls, particularly across inventory and manufacturing operations
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost visibility and support business performance
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities

Qualifications (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation – required
• Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience, including management or supervisory experience
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong expertise in inventory accounting and cost accounting
• Experience managing and developing accounting staff

Preferred Skills

• ERP system experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with non-finance stakeholders
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process improvement
