We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor with a strong background in manufacturing accounting to lead core financial operations and support strategic decision-making. This role is responsible for overseeing cost accounting, inventory management, financial reporting, and staff leadership, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Lead and manage cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and product costing
- Maintain and optimize inventory accounting, including valuation, reconciliation, and cycle count processes
- Develop and enforce strong internal controls, particularly across inventory and manufacturing operations
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost visibility and support business performance
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation – required
- Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience, including management or supervisory experience
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong expertise in inventory accounting and cost accounting
- Experience managing and developing accounting staff
Preferred Skills
- ERP system experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with non-finance stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process improvement
