Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 8+ years mechanical designs & Integration of electronics, mechanical and user interfaces, including PCBAs, switches, sensors, buttons, screens, power supplies, wiring, cable management
• Experience designing LRUs to meet FAA certification requirements such as DO-160
• Advanced SolidWorks and PDM
• Creating drawings with GD&T (dimensions and tolerances) per ASME 14.5Y
• Thermal management techniques
• Must have experience designing injection molded, sheet metal, die cast, machining, stamped and die cut parts
• Experience with technical ownership of mechanical designs and responsibilities including system assembly throughout the design, development, production, and support phases

Responsibilities:

• Product development activities ranging from conceptual development, prototyping, and design validation to manufacturing
• Integration of electronics, mechanical and user interfaces, including PCBAs, switches, sensors, buttons, screens, power supplies, wiring, cable management
• Develops hand-held user interfaces, Systems and components
• Perform root-cause analysis of issues detected during development, engineering testing, qualification & Designs assembly fixtures
