Accounting Manager
Hybrid | 3 days onsite / 2 remote
Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 + Performance Bonus
A growing multi-site organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its expanding finance leadership team. Position Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager will lead day-to-day accounting functions, supervise a team of four accounting professionals, and ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple business units and locations. This role is ideal for a CPA with public accounting roots who enjoys both technical accounting and people leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze results, trends, and variances for leadership review
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two Senior Accountants and two Staff Accountants
- Establish priorities, review work product, and support career growth
- Promote accountability and continuous improvement within the department
Multi-Entity Accounting Operations
- Oversee accounting for multiple locations and/or legal entities
- Ensure consistency in processes, controls, and reporting across the organization
- Support intercompany transactions and consolidations as needed
Audit, Compliance & Controls
- Coordinate external audit support and annual tax schedules
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company standards
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
- Support ERP enhancements and automation initiatives
- Assist leadership with special projects tied to growth and expansion
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Active or inactive CPA license required
- Public accounting experience required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
