Senior Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a professional services organization to identify an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee field accounting operations and lead a high-impact accounting function supporting multi-site field operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who understands how accounting connects directly to operational execution and enjoys working cross-functionally with field and operations leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee field accounting operations including month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals (direct and indirect reports)
• Drive improvements in close timelines, accuracy, and accounting efficiency
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies
• Partner closely with operations leadership to provide financial insight and support decision-making
• Standardize accounting processes across decentralized business units
• Support ERP optimization and broader finance transformation initiatives
• Serve as escalation point for complex accounting and operational issues
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Corporate Accounting, and IT

Required Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience managing accounting teams
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, and internal controls
• Experience working in operationally complex multi entity environments
• Strong communication skills with ability to partner effectively with operations leadership
• Ability to translate accounting concepts into operational impact and business insights
