Job Description

The Psychiatric Social Worker provides comprehensive mental health services to children and adolescents in an outpatient setting. This role involves delivering individualized care through a combination of therapeutic services, case management, and collaboration with caregivers to support emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.

Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

• Provide direct mental health services to children and adolescents (ages 0-17), including individual (1:1) therapy and caregiver/family support
• Manage a caseload of approximately 60+ clients, adjusting frequency of sessions based on acuity (e.g., weekly for higher-need clients, monthly check-ins for stable cases)
• Deliver an average of 35 billable service hours per week through
• Assess, treat, and support clients with a range of behavioral health conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and occasional presentations of psychosis
• Respond to crisis situations and adjust care plans and schedules as needed to ensure client safety and continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment planning and provide holistic care
• Engage and support caregivers as active participants in the treatment process
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using an electronic health record system (e.g., Avatar)
• Participate in and apply evidence-based practices in clinical care
• Adapt to no-shows, schedule changes, and varying client needs while maintaining productivity expectations

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field
• Active registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCSW, ASW, AMFT, or APCC)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with varying levels of client acuity

Schedule/ Shift:

• Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm or 9am - 530pm

Pay Rate:

• Associate Level Therapist $30 - $36.85 per hour depending on experience
• Licensed Level Therapist $42 - $46.20 per hour depending on experience
