Registered Dietitian
Position: Registered Dietitian (RD) / Dietitian
Care Setting: Inpatient Acute Care (Primary & Specialty Care)
Shift: Day Shift - 8 hours
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Scheduling Flexibility: Open to flexible scheduling options
Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 contract days)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Charting System: Epic
State License:Minnesota license required (facility willing to wait)
Position Overview
The Dietitian plans, develops, and provides evidence based nutrition interventions, medical nutrition therapy, and preventive nutrition counseling to patients across the continuum of care. This role supports patients of all ages in acute inpatient, skilled nursing, outpatient, and community based settings, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize nutrition and health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for patients of all ages, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and determine nutritional status
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on assessment findings and provider orders
- Recommend and implement diet modifications, nutrition support, and oral nutrition supplements
- Provide patient and family nutrition education and counseling related to disease states and health risk management
- Support self management education for patients with chronic conditions
- Evaluate nutrition therapy outcomes using evidence based practice
Required Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Dietitian license (or ability to obtain; facility willing to wait)
- Ability to practice across inpatient acute care and specialty care environments
- Strong clinical nutrition assessment and counseling skills
Education
- BSN: Not required
- Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field consistent with licensure requirements
Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
