Manager, Marketing Transformation
Ongoing Contract (W2, Weekly Pay, Benefits) – Intent to Convert to Full-Time
Atlanta, GA
Hybrid (Onsite Monday-Thursday, Remote Friday)
Role Overview
The Home Depot marketing organization is proactively driving a comprehensive strategic and operational evolution to maintain our position at the forefront of the home improvement industry.
The Marketing Acceleration team serves as an internal strategic partner, driving process optimization, operational design, technological advancement, and modern ways of working across our entire marketing ecosystem.
We are seeking a Manager, Marketing Transformation. In this role, you will lead the evolution of our end-to-end operational model. Rather than focusing on a single silo, you will look holistically at how we work, streamlining end-to-end campaign processes, aligning organizational structures, fostering stronger collaboration across diverse marketing channels, and integrating modern technologies into a unified, high-performing ecosystem.
- Reports To: Senior Manager, Marketing Acceleration
- Direct Reports: None (Individual Contributor / Cross-functional Influence)
What Success Looks Like
- Accelerate Operational Clarity: Quickly map and understand our marketing ecosystem, identifying high-impact opportunities to simplify workflows, optimize organizational alignment, and bridge cross-channel gaps.
- Demonstrate Entrepreneurial Drive: Operate with a high degree of autonomy. You are a resourceful self-starter who creates structure in ambiguity, proactively builds relationships across a matrixed network, and drives initiatives forward without needing a prescriptive playbook.
- Lead with Collaboration & Diplomacy: Navigate large-scale organizational change smoothly by guiding cross-functional partners through new models of working, leaning on strong relationship-building and empathetic communication.
Core Responsibilities
- Operating Model & Process Modernization: Design and implement optimized, scalable frameworks that elevate how our marketing org executes work, from end-to-end campaign lifecycles to cross-channel collaboration.
- Tech-Driven Enablement: Take a technology- and process-first approach to problem-solving, identifying where automation and advanced tools can eliminate administrative burdens and empower our marketers.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a trusted partner across various marketing teams and channels, aligning distinct strategies, managing diverse viewpoints, and driving consensus toward a unified way of working.
- Executive-Level Storytelling & Reporting: Craft compelling, executive-facing presentations and slide decks that "level up" complex transformation data into clear, strategic narratives. Confidently deliver report-outs to leadership on team successes, milestones, and the ROI of our modern ways of working.
- Change Advocacy: Champion transformation by framing new technology and structures as enablement tools, ensuring we bring our teams along on the journey. Support the development of reference materials and resources to train team long-term.
Qualifications & Skills
What You Must Have (Required):
- Experience: 5+ years in marketing operations, business transformation, organizational design, change management, or a relevant internal strategy role.
- The "Builder" Mindset: A proven ability to analyze complex enterprise landscapes and design modern, holistic "ways of working" (processes, tools, and structures) from the ground up.
- High Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Exceptional diplomacy and relationship-building skills. You are adept at managing resistance, listening to stakeholder needs across different channels, and inspiring trust during structural or process shifts.
- Tech-Forward & Process-First: A strong affinity for marketing technology and automation tools, with a track record of using tech to unlock team capacity.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Experience navigating large, matrixed enterprise organizations (retail corporate experience is a plus).
- Experience specifically touching organizational design or operating model transformation.
- A background in change management frameworks that emphasize human-centric transition and empathy.
