Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage payroll accurately and on schedule for a large, global employee population
• Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll tax regulations
• Prepare and review payroll-related journal entries and support general ledger (GL) close processes
• Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting
• Partner with HR and Finance to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with internal policies
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the payroll function

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of payroll experience in a corporate or professional services environment
• Strong working knowledge of payroll tax — multi-state experience is required
• Exposure to general ledger, journal entries, or payroll-related accounting
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage competing priorities in a large team setting

Preferred:

• Experience with ADP and/or Workday
• International or global payroll exposure
• Background that blends payroll with broader accounting, tax, or GL responsibilities

Compensation & Details

• Pay: $28–$34/hour (contract); conversion salary $80,000–$100,000
• Type: Contract-to-Hire
