GPI has an immediate opportunity for a Highway Engineering Project Manager based in our Columbia, Maryland office to support the continued growth and expansion of GPI’s transportation design presence throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver transportation projects for clients including Maryland State Highway Administration, Delaware Department of Transportation, and local counties and municipalities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through collaboration with clients and internal multi‑discipline teams
  • Prepare and oversee engineering designs that meet project requirements and client expectations
  • Deliver projects within established schedules and budgets
  • Develop project design criteria, calculations, details, and cost estimates
  • Mentor and support staff in the advancement of transportation engineering and design

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering, preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland
  • Extensive experience in roadway design
  • Working knowledge of CAD and roadway modeling software
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
