Insight Global is seeking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems across active construction projects. On a daily basis, you will collaborate with project managers, superintendents, architects, and trade partners to ensure mechanical designs are constructible, code‑compliant, and aligned with project schedules and budgets. You will review and develop HVAC, plumbing, and process piping designs, prepare calculations and equipment selections, and support BIM teams with Revit‑based modeling and documentation. This includes reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and material submittals while providing technical guidance to resolve design conflicts in the field.

Must-haves

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Engineering
• 4+ years of basic knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline
• 4+ years of experience designing a variety of HVAC systems to support mission critical facilities – Data center, hospitals, schools, military installations
• Experience utilizing Revit/AutoCad/Solidworks to design
• Heating Hot Water Plant and Distribution
• Steam Distribution
• Chilled Water Generation and Distribution
• Refrigerant Cooling systems (VRF, DX etc.)
• Space Heating and Cooling Systems (VAV, Chilled beams, Radiant Cooling, Fan Coil Units, Displacement ventilation etc.)
• Ventilation Systems.
• Interface with electrical systems
• Building Automation Systems and Controls
• Needs to understand what Revit is to be able to collaborate with other engineers on the team
