Position Summary

As a Licensed Optician at Lexington Eye Associates, you will play a key role in creating an outstanding patient experience and positioning our practice as the premier destination for vision care. You'll combine technical expertise with personalized service, ensuring every patient leaves with eyewear that is both functional and stylish-and crafted to the highest standards of precision.

What You'll Do

  • Greet patients warmly and provide a professional, welcoming experience
  • Precisely measure, fit, and dispense eyewear to meet each patient's unique needs
  • Review prescriptions, identify special requirements, and recommend the best optical solutions
  • Adjust and repair eyewear with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Guide patients on lens and frame selection, balancing functionality, comfort, and fashion
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing optical space
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and excellent service delivery
  • Uphold company policies, protect assets, and support inventory management
  • Stay current with optical technology, eyewear trends, and continuing education

What We're Looking For

  • Current State Licensure as an Optician
  • Prior optical dispensing experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong math and technical skills
  • Familiarity with Compulink POS (preferred but not required)
  • A passion for fashion, eyewear, and patient care

Schedule

  • Full-time or Part-time available
  • 8-hour shifts, and occasional half-day Saturdays
