Accounting Manager

CFS is partnering with a well-established, operationally complex organization in the Chelsea area to identify an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations. This role follows a hybrid schedule, with two days per week required in the office.

The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting functions while remaining hands-on in a fast-paced environment that values accuracy, ownership, and continuous improvement.

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Review financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing day-to-day guidance
• Improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and finance leadership

In this role, the Accounting Manager will balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on execution, ensuring timelines and quality standards are consistently met.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior people-management or supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close ownership
• Experience in a complex or operationally driven environment preferred

The Accounting Manager should be comfortable owning outcomes, managing deadlines, and supporting both the team and the business.

• Salary range: $95,000–$120,000, based on experience
