A healthcare facility in the Syracuse, NY area is seeking an experienced RN Educator to join our clinical leadership team in a full-time capacity.

The RN Educator will oversee staff development, orientation, clinical education, and employee health initiatives to support regulatory compliance, clinical excellence, and quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate staff education and training programs related to infection control, safety procedures, body mechanics, emergency preparedness, and other regulatory requirements

  • Conduct orientation and ongoing clinical training for nursing and support staff

  • Monitor staff competencies and assist with performance improvement initiatives

  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, certifications, and educational compliance

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary meetings

  • Assist nursing leadership with the planning and implementation of staff development programs

  • Support employee health functions, including required screenings and immunization processes within scope of practice

  • Review workplace incidents and assist with education and prevention initiatives related to employee safety

  • Maintain strong working relationships across departments and communicate effectively with staff at all levels

  • Stay current with clinical standards, regulations, and professional best practices

Qualifications:

  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required

  • Minimum three (3) years of RN Educator experience preferred

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or post-acute clinical setting preferred

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills

  • CPR certification required; CPR Instructor certification preferred or willingness to obtain

  • Knowledge of infection prevention, OSHA regulations, emergency preparedness, and clinical compliance standards

  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills

  • Ability to educate, motivate, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
