Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Sanford, FL 32771. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Specific Duties:

  • Assist physicians and nursing personnel with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy and other patient care procedures
  • Maintain established quality control standards
  • Record and process patient care documentation quickly and accurately
  • Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies
  • Organize, stock and clean exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
  • Maintain quality control standards and required Medical Assistant and CPR certifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of preferred experience
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
  • Current CPR and / or BLS certification

Requirements

  • Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • The ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies is required
  • Good communication and customer service skills required
  • Preferred Education. Experience & Skills
  • At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant

Additional Information:

  • Location: Sanford, FL 32771
  • Job Type: 3+ months contract to Hire
  • Schedule: - Monday-Friday 8 am – 5 pm
  • Office Hours: 8 am – 5 pm
  • Pay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
