IT Business Partner – Clinical Systems, Data Management & Veeva Vault

Osprey Life Sciences is hiring an experienced IT Business Partner (ITBP) on behalf of an innovative clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on advancing next-generation therapies in immunology and inflammatory diseases.

The organization is continuing to expand its Clinical and Regulatory technology landscape and is seeking a hands-on IT/business partner to support key Clinical initiatives across Veeva Vault and related Clinical systems.

Position Overview

The IT Business Partner will serve as the primary liaison between Clinical business stakeholders and IT, supporting Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, and Data Management functions across a growing portfolio of Clinical technologies.

This individual will bring deep understanding of Clinical development business processes combined with hands-on implementation experience across Veeva Vault applications and related Clinical systems. The role will focus on partnering with stakeholders to optimize workflows, support ongoing platform expansion, guide solutioning decisions, and help execute strategic Clinical technology initiatives.

In parallel, this person may also help assess and scope broader Clinical initiatives, including:

  • Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM)
  • Clinical Portfolio Planning solutions
  • Cross-functional Clinical process and data initiatives
  • Future-state Clinical systems roadmap planning

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable discussing Clinical operational workflows, system architecture considerations, vendor capabilities, and implementation strategy within a regulated biotech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary IT/business partner supporting Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, and Data Management functions
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand clinical workflows, operational pain points, and future-state needs
  • Provide hands-on expertise supporting implementation and optimization of Veeva Vault solutions and related clinical systems
  • Translate business requirements into system and process recommendations
  • Support roadmap planning, vendor coordination, and implementation activities across Clinical technologies
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, and IT teams
  • Help assess and scope future initiatives related to:
  • RBQM platforms/processes
  • Portfolio Planning capabilities
  • Clinical operational reporting and analytics
  • Process harmonization and governance
  • Participate in system selection, fit-gap analysis, process mapping, testing, and deployment activities
  • Ensure alignment with GxP, validation, SDLC, and inspection readiness expectations
  • Act as a consultative partner capable of balancing strategic planning with tactical execution
  • Support change management, stakeholder communication, and adoption efforts during implementation cycles

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience supporting Clinical Systems within biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organizations
  • Strong understanding of Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, and/or Clinical Data Management business processes
  • Hands-on implementation experience with Veeva Vault applications and clinical technology ecosystems
  • Experience partnering directly with business stakeholders as an IT Business Partner, Business Systems Analyst, Product Owner, or Clinical Systems Lead
  • Strong understanding of regulated clinical environments and GxP expectations
  • Experience gathering requirements, conducting process analysis, and supporting system implementation projects
  • Ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving biotech environment with shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RBQM tools, processes, or operational models
  • Exposure to Clinical Portfolio Planning platforms or governance processes
  • Familiarity with:
  • Clinical trial systems ecosystems
  • eTMF/CTMS integrations
  • Clinical data flows and reporting
  • SDLC and validation methodologies
  • Experience working with external implementation partners and vendors
  • Prior experience in emerging or mid-sized biotech environments preferred

Environment

This is a highly collaborative environment supporting a growing clinical-stage biotechnology organization advancing multiple innovative therapies through clinical development. The team is seeking someone who can partner closely with Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Data Management, IT, and external vendors to help shape and execute a scalable Clinical systems roadmap.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating both strategically and tactically — capable of understanding Clinical business processes, guiding system and vendor discussions, and supporting hands-on implementation work across Veeva Vault and related Clinical technologies.
