Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to design, develop, and maintain BI solutions that empower enterprise-scale financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in BI tools, data modeling, and analytics, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Extensive experience with implementing and managing BI platforms for business intelligence, data applications, and embedded analytics.
  • 7+ years of experience in managing BI platforms includes Looker, Amazon Quicksight.
  • Experience in designing and delivering complex Platform architectures.
  • Extensive experience with Python programming, Shell Scripting and Powershell Scripting.
  • Identify and implement various automation solutions using scripting.
  • Have worked on various product APIs to automate Admin functions.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience on setting up security using Active Directory, Azure AD and Ping federate.
  • Have worked on configuring OAuth, SAML configurations for SSO implementation.
  • Experience is defining SDLC process and CICD process using Jenkins.
  • Integrating Looker with a Git repo for code commits.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with platform governance and resiliency.
  • Looker architecture design and administration including but not limited to troubleshooting and find opportunities for automation to streamline the day-to-day Operations of the platform.
  • Experience with Looker, Quicksight Setup and Administration.
  • Experience and develop data models; ETL packages, Reports utilizing Power BI applying best practices to the development lifecycle. Data Modeling experience with Kimball method.
  • Understanding of various database tools such as Snowflake, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server.
  • Understanding of various external components that BI tools depend in order for a successful connectivity which includes understanding of Network, Firewall, Proxy etc.
  • Integrating BI with different tools which includes and not limited to Splunk, collibra, Service now.
  • Understanding of pre-requisites for a successful connection setup.
  • Strong ability to quickly propose solutions by recalling the latest best practices learned from MVP & Product Team articles, video documentation, whitepapers and community publications.
  • A passion for understanding and integrating business semantics into technology solutions. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic client-facing role where delivering solid work products to exceed high expectations is a measure of success.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills.

  • Work closely with internal IT, Server, Security teams to troubleshoot including reviewing logs and resolve issues with production/non-production environments.
  • Work independently and provide solutions to users.
  • Build CI/CD pipeline to check in and migrate Power BI data sets/dashboards/reports between workspaces utilizing Power BI Rest APIs/Power Platform.
  • Build & Support BI platform metrics such as user tracking/logging, usage monitoring, anomalies detection in published data sets and reporting at an enterprise level using Power BI Platform.
  • Train self-service BI users and support the business in promoting self service BI and the overall data platform through documentation and product training sessions.
