Encompass Business Analyst (BA)

Pay Range: $50 - $55/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities;
- Gather and document business and functional requirements
- Analyze mortgage workflows and recommend process improvements
- Configure and support Encompass Smart Client / Encompass 360
- Translate business needs into:
- User stories
- BRDs/FRDs
- Acceptance criteria
- Process flows
- Work with developers, QA, and stakeholders during Agile sprints
- Conduct UAT testing and support production releases
- Manage backlog grooming and prioritization
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including offshore teams
- Support change management and training activities
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills- Encompass, Mortgage
- Encompass LOS
- Mortgage origination process
- Agile/Scrum
- Requirement gathering
- Stakeholder management
- Knowledge of:
- Loan lifecycle
- Compliance/regulatory workflows
- Encompass configuration
- Jira/Confluence
- Often preferred:
- SQL
- Power BI
- API integrations
- Scrum experience
- Most NYC-related postings ask for:
- 5–8+ years as Business Analyst
- 3+ years with Encompass LOS
- Mortgage domain expertise
- Encompass Business Analyst
- Mortgage Business Systems Analyst
- Encompass LOS Analyst
- Technical BA – Mortgage Technology
