Lab Infrastructure Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and research sector, is seeking a Lab Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. As a Lab Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of the Infrastructure Support Department supporting the Network Operations and Data Center Teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Menlo Park, California (100% Onsite)

Pay Range:$ 75-85/hr

What's the Job?

• Own end-to-end execution for building, expanding, and operating high-performance network infrastructure supporting ML training clusters, data collection rigs, and codec development labs.
• Partner with engineering, hardware, ML systems, and capacity planning teams to deliver reliable, production-parity lab environments.
• Drive deployment plans, cutovers, and upgrades with thorough documentation, risk management, and rollback planning.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and configuration templates for network device provisioning and management.
• Implement monitoring, telemetry, and alert triage systems to ensure network reliability and troubleshoot issues efficiently.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in network engineering or infrastructure deployment.
• Hands-on experience with data center switching/routing concepts and operational troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in coding/automation using Python, Bash, or Go to improve operational efficiency.
• Experience with network device AAA (TACACS+, RADIUS) and management-plane access control.
• Familiarity with network telemetry, monitoring stacks, and modern network management tools.
