Fleet Operations Business Intelligence Engineer

Our client, a leader in autonomous transportation technology, is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their team. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be part of the Fleet Operations department supporting operational decision-making and data analysis initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical rigor, effective communication skills, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Fleet Operations Business Intelligence Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $75/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Analyze fleet performance and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations in tools like Looker, Tableau, Databricks, or Power BI to support operational decision-making.
• Extract, clean, and process large datasets using SQL and Python to transform raw data into meaningful business metrics.
• Collaborate closely with Fleet Operations teams to understand challenges and identify data-driven solutions.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses to evaluate potential operational changes and propose strategic improvements.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in data analysis and business intelligence roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing for data extraction and transformation.
• Experience with Python or R for data cleaning, manipulation, and analysis.
• Proficiency with visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
