Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a Manufacturing Group Leader to join their team. As a Manufacturing Group Leader, you will be part of the Production & Operations Department, supporting cross-functional manufacturing and supply chain teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a continuous improvement mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title:Manufacturing Group Leader (Production / Operations)
Location:Lockport, NY
Pay Range:$47.61 – $54.60 per hour
What’s the Job?- Lead and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring efficient use of personnel, materials, and equipment
- Train, coach, and develop hourly team members while building high-performing teams
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and support continuous improvement processes (GMS or similar systems)
- Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets are consistently achieved
- Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety, ergonomics, and housekeeping standards
- Experience leading teams in a manufacturing, production, or supply chain environment
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement principles
- Experience working in a unionized environment (or ability to adapt quickly)
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) including nights and weekends as required
- Proven ability to manage production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards
