Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-time | Onsite with limited fieldwork
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and driven Employment Specialist / Job Developer to join our Veteran Employment Program. This role focuses on helping veterans achieve sustainable employment by connecting them with quality job opportunities, providing personalized career coaching, and building strong partnerships with local employers.
The ideal candidate is empathetic, proactive, and goal-oriented — someone who thrives on helping others rebuild their lives and succeed in the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers in high-growth industries to create job opportunities for veterans.
- Conduct outreach, cold calling, and networking to expand employment pipelines.
- Identify employer hiring needs and provide customized employment solutions, including On-the-Job Training and other hiring incentives.
- Conduct employment assessments to determine participants’ skills, interests, and barriers to employment.
- Provide individualized job readiness support such as resume writing, mock interviews, and workplace coaching.
- Match veterans with suitable employment opportunities and monitor placement success and retention.
- Collaborate with case managers, training staff, and outreach teams to ensure participant success.
- Attend and organize job fairs, hiring events, and employer tours.
- Track and report on performance metrics, job placements, and retention outcomes.
- Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure compliance with program standards.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Services, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in job development, workforce services, or business outreach.
- Experience supporting veterans, homeless populations, or individuals with barriers to employment is highly preferred.
- Military service experience a plus but not required.
