Position: HVAC Test Technician - 1st and 2nd shift
Location: Frederick, MD 21704
Contract to Hire: Pay Rate - $20 - $25/depending on shift and experience
Hiring for Location: Frederick, MD 21704
Work Location: In-Person
Hiring for 1st Shift, and 2nd shift HVAC Test technician
Must have GED or HS Diploma, be able to pass a criminal background check and pass a drug test.
Job Summary:
This is an entry level apprentice position for HVAC Test Technician II. The ideal candidate must be able to perform the following analytical duties in a reasonable and productive time frame.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Demonstrate basic knowledge of refrigeration and electrical components, their use, and the proper operation of those components.
· Must be familiar with HVAC systems.
· Must be able to interpret electrical schematics.
· Must have basic industrial electrical knowledge to trouble shoot HVAC or environmental control systems.
· Must be willing to assist in the Test Technician II.
· Assemble fans and wire them for assembly.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
· High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
· One to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience prior to advancing to the next level.
· Ability to use all appropriate test equipment including, but not limited to, meters, refrigeration gauges, etc.
· Ability to use all safe practices when dealing with electricity and pressurized systems.
Language Skills:
· Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization.
· Ability to work from verbal and written instruction.
· Ability to read and understand bills of material, piping and electrical schematics.
Mathematical Skills:
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
