Corporate Controller
Job Description
ADNET is seeking a high-caliber, hands-on Corporate Controller to serve as the lead architect and daily operator of our financial systems within a high-growth government contracting environment. This is a vital "player-coach" role requiring a leader who is equally comfortable with executive-level strategy and deep, hands-on management of the complete General Ledger. The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of GovCon experience and the technical mastery to personally manage complex accounting transactions within Deltek Costpoint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Total GL Ownership: Take full, hands-on responsibility for the General Ledger. Personally oversee and execute the month-end and year-end close, ensuring every account is reconciled and all entries (accruals, deferrals, and adjustments) are accurate and GAAP/FAR compliant.
- Deltek Costpoint Power User: Act as the primary administrator and hands-on expert for Costpoint. You will personally manage project setup, labor categories, and revenue recognition rules, ensuring the system architecture supports flawless billing and reporting.
- Full-Cycle Accounting Execution: While supervising a small team, you will "roll up your sleeves" to support and audit A/R, A/P, and payroll, ensuring data integrity at the source and resolving complex transactional issues personally.
- Indirect Rate & ICS Mastery: Personally calculate and monitor indirect rate pools (Fringe, Overhead, G&A). Lead the preparation of the annual Incurred Cost Submission (ICS) and maintain "audit-ready" books daily for DCAA/DCMA.
- Project Accounting & Profitability: Partner directly with Program Managers to analyze project-level GL data, monitoring burn rates and funding ceilings for CPFF, T&M, and FFP contracts to ensure maximum profitability.
- Financial Reporting: Personally prepare comprehensive financial statements, flux analyses, and executive-level reports, translating "in-the-weeds" GL data into clear business intelligence.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
- Experience: 10–15+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 7+ years in a hands-on GovCon leadership role.
- Technical Mastery:Expert-level, hands-on proficiency in Deltek Costpoint is non-negotiable. You must be able to navigate and configure all core modules independently.
- Regulatory Expertise: Deep, practical application of FAR, CAS, and GAAP in a DCAA-regulated environment.
- Mindset: A "no task too small" attitude combined with the ability to maintain a high-level strategic perspective.
Why Work for Us?
- Direct impact on the financial health and scalability of a growing organization.
- Competitive salary and executive benefits package.
- 401(k) with company match, PTO, and 11 paid federal holidays.
