Moore Colson is looking for dynamic Business and Financial Advisory Director to join our team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 10 years of well-rounded accounting and/or finance experience with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a supervisory role. Our corporate accounting team works closely with our clients to provide flexible and scalable accounting support and finance and business consulting to launch businesses to the next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities
• Overseeing projects including weekly, monthly, and year-end close processes, management reporting and preparing reconciliations;
• Maintaining fixed assets and depreciation schedules
• Designing, implementing, and/or converting systems for clients
• Calculating and reporting indirect taxes
• Helping clients prepare cash flow and or financial projections
• Reviewing client's payroll and benefits processing and 1099 preparation
• Advising clients on both tactical and strategic financial decisions
• Serving in an outsourced or contracted interim/fractional Controller or CFO role
• Troubleshooting client issues as they arise
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA license a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 6 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Hands-on experience in the construction industry, either directly within a construction company, or supporting construction clients in a public accounting or advisory environment
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and/or Online and advanced Excel
  • Experience preparing Sales & Use Tax returns, preferred
  • Experience with one or more of the following systems: Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Sage 50 (Peachtree), Sage 100 (Master Builder), Sage 300 (Timberline), SYSPRO, SAP Business One, Fixed asset management software, ProSystems Fx Engagement
  • Experience supporting core accounting operations, including payroll processing and related tax compliance
  • Ability and willingness to travel to client locations as needed
  • Proven ability to navigate diverse client challenges and deliver practical, value-driven solutions across multiple industries
  • Strong consultative mindset with a client-service orientation
  • Exceptional communication skills—clear, proactive, and detail-oriented (verbal and written)
  • Self-directed, autonomous, and highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership
