Marketing Assistant (Entry Level)

Schedule: Starting at 25+ hours per week with opportunity for additional hours based on workload and performance.
Position Overview
PNW Web Designers & Marketing is seeking a motivated Marketing Assistant to support client projects involving website content updates, social media, local marketing campaigns, Google Business Profile management, events, and digital visibility efforts.
This is an entry-level position ideal for someone interested in marketing, social media, business visibility, web content, or community engagement. Training will be provided, but applicants should be comfortable learning new technology and working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Duties may include:
- Assisting with social media posting and content scheduling
- Supporting website updates and adding/editing client content
- Uploading photos, graphics, blogs, and promotional materials
- Assisting with Google Business Profile updates and local marketing tasks
- Helping coordinate community events, sponsorships, and promotions
- Basic photography/video assistance for client projects or events
- Organizing marketing materials, files, and project documents
- Assisting with email communication and client follow-up
- Monitoring reviews, comments, and online engagement
- Supporting SEO and online visibility projects
- Helping prepare reports, invoices, and internal documents
- Administrative support for marketing campaigns and special projects
Preferred Qualifications
Experience is helpful but not required.
Candidates should have:
- Strong communication skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to learn new software and marketing platforms
- Comfortable using social media (Facebook, Instagram, Google, etc.)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Positive attitude and willingness to support team projects
- Interest in marketing, design, technology, or business growth
Preferred but not required:
- Canva experience
- Photography or video editing experience
- Website editing experience
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of Google or social media platforms
Work Environment
This role works directly with a small team supporting businesses throughout Washington in industries including nonprofits, contractors, events, healthcare, radio, and local services.
