Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 6 months contract (possibility to go perm) As a Mechanical Engineer, you will perform engineering design services and other related product development and/or product commercialization services. Key Job Accountabilities: Demonstrates the ability to work independently in multiple phases for the Product Realization Process, without direction from mentors or functional management. Has ability to lead and direct thermal analysis workstreams utilizing appropriate simulation software for predicting and optimizing thermal performance in product development Develops engineering/product concepts that are innovative, high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy all stakeholder's (customer, manufacturing, material, agency, etc.) needs and requirements through an established area of technical specialty and, where applicable, mentorship of others on the global discipline team. Demonstrates skill in the full product realization process, primarily concept, design, implementation, and test within technologies of plastics, metals, mechanisms, and enclosures. Assists project management in the development of proposals to ensure accurate technical, staffing, budgetary, and schedule content. Demonstrates effective communications (teleconference, email, and in-person) through interaction with customers (internal and external) regarding project technical subject matter. Education/Experience Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. Five (5) years of related experience is required.
