About Turnout
Turnout is building lifetime advocacy — we become a person's advocate across the government, healthcare, and insurance systems they face throughout their life, starting with Social Security Disability, Healthcare, VA benefits, and education (IEP).
The Role:
You'll own how Turnout talks to people across their entire journey with us — from the first message through years of advocacy — and you'll run our organic social presence. This is the first dedicated owner of lifecycle and CRM at Turnout, so you'll build the engine, not inherit one. Player-coach, hands-on, team of one to start.
What You'll Own:
Lifecycle & nurture
- Build and run our email + SMS programs across the full journey: lead nurture, onboarding, in-case engagement, retention, win-back, and cross-sell across verticals.
- Design nurture for long timelines — keeping clients engaged through multi-month (and longer) case waits, and recovering leads who don't convert on first contact.
- Stand up and own the lifecycle stack wired into Salesforce and our data warehouse.
Activation
- Drive clients to complete the actions that move their case forward — signing documents, uploading records, attesting, and adopting our app — through well-timed, helpful messaging.
Referral & reputation
- Build referral and review-generation programs triggered off milestone moments like a won case.
Social media
- Own Turnout's organic social end to end — content calendar, publishing, and day-to-day community engagement on the platforms our audiences actually use.
- Build genuine community with the people we serve — people with disabilities, seniors, veterans, and parents navigating IEPs — and handle social customer care.
Measurement
Report on conversion, activation, retention/churn, cross-sell, and engagement — and run experiments to improve them.
Who You Are
- Experience in lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing — ideally DTC, healthtech, fintech, or another high-consideration consumer service.
- A hands-on builder who has personally built nurture and retention programs in a modern CRM/ESP, not just briefed an agency.
- Comfortable in data: you can segment an audience, read a funnel, and act on what it tells you.
- Social-native: you understand community building, not just posting.
- Energized by building a function from scratch.
Bonus
- Spanish fluency
- Experience marketing to disability, senior, veteran, or healthcare audiences.
- Familiarity with Salesforce; an instinct for accessible, inclusive content.
