NPD Manufacturing Engineer/ Operations Integrator (Medical Device)

We are seeking a highly collaborative and execution-focused NPD Manufacturing Engineer / Operations Integrator to bridge product development and manufacturing operations. This role ensures new products are designed, industrialized, and launched with speed, quality, and cost efficiency.
You will act as the connective tissue between engineering, supply chain, quality, and operations—driving seamless transition from concept through production ramp.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing readiness for new product launches from concept through production ramp
- Partner with design engineering to ensure DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturability/Assembly) principles are applied early
- Develop and execute manufacturing plans, timelines, and launch readiness criteria
Operations Integration
- Act as the primary liaison between R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality
- Ensure alignment on product requirements, manufacturability, cost targets, and timelines
- Translate engineering designs into scalable production processes
- Identify and mitigate risks across the product lifecycle
Process Development & Optimization
- Execute process validation (OQ/PQ where applicable)
- Implement SPC monitoring or other methods for verifying critical outputs
Production Ramp & Support
- Support initial production builds and troubleshoot issues on the line
Supplier & Supply Chain Engagement
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure component readiness and manufacturability
- Support supplier selection, qualification, and ramp
- Ensure supply chain alignment with production schedules
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, NPI/NPD, or operations engineering
- Experience supporting new product launches in a production environment
- Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles
- Experience with process development, validation, and production ramp
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume or complex manufacturing environments (electronics, medical devices, aerospace, automotive, etc.)
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans
- Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher preferred)
- Experience with ERP/MES systems
- Project management experience

Starting at $110k + annual bonus based on company and individual performance
