Medical Assistant
We're assisting our local employer, Gastrointestinal Care Consultants, seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Assistant to join the clinical team. This position supports both our West Houston and Sugar Land offices, providing patient-centered assistance in a fast-paced medical environment.
Position Highlights:
No phlebotomy required
No billing responsibilities
Hands-on patient interaction and essential front/back office support
Primary Responsibilities:
Answer and triage patient phone calls
Perform vital signs and rooming of patients
Provide strong multitasking support across daily clinical operations
Assist physicians and staff with general office and patient-care tasks
Travel as needed between both office locations
Compensation:
Starting pay: $14/hour
Salary review after 1-week trial period; potential increase based on experience and performance
Benefits:
After 1 year of employment: 1 week paid vacation
Minimum Requirements:
At least 1 year of medical assistant experience (Gastroenterology experience a plus but not required)
Ability to work at both practice locations (West Houston and Sugar Land)
Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette
Dependable, organized, and able to multitask efficiently
