Acquisitions Systems Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Acquisition Systems Engineer to support a high-priority national security space program. This is a high-visibility advisory role that places you directly at the intersection of acquisition management and systems engineering, working alongside sr. government leadership and multidisciplinary DoD teams to drive mission success.
What You'll Do
- Support the Material Leader with acquisition planning for the SBST mission area
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary DoD technical teams and defense contractors to ensure program alignment
- Evaluate program and acquisition documentation for compliance with DoD, Department of the Air Force, and U.S. Space Force policies
- Conduct market research and develop acquisition strategy recommendations
- Support the organization and operation of Integrated Product Teams
- Analyze program progress against plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Manage taskers using TMT, ETMS, and related systems
- Prepare, review, and route executive-level Staff Summary Sheets and sr. leader staffing packages
- Track suspense actions and provide timely status updates to leadership
What You'll Need
- Expert-level experience in systems engineering and acquisition management within a DoD environment
- Proficiency in MBSE tools, including Cameo/MagicDraw and SysML
- Strong working knowledge of scheduling, requirements analysis, and program documentation
- Hands-on experience with Python, MATLAB, Jira, and Confluence
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command, NRO, or national security space organizations
- Prior experience in a Program Executive Office or headquarters-level acquisition environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100.00 - $115.00/hr.
