It is the responsibility of this position to understand and foster the company’s mission and values. This position is integral to the operation and fiscal success of the company. This is an hourly position which requires a 20-30 hours work week. This position has a six-month probationary period and then employee will be on annual performance reviews based on date of hire.
General information
· Minimum of 2-3 years bookkeeping experience
· The responsibilities listed below may change from time to time and additional duties may be added.
· This position reports direction to the President.
· Normal work hours are Mon, Tu3, Thu, Fri. 9 am - 3 pm with 1 hour for lunch ( some flexibility)
· This is a part-time hourly position at the beginning. As business increases hours will increase to full-time and exempt position.
Required skills and job requirements
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: in particular Word and Excel
· Knowledge and work experience with monthly and quarterly state and federal tax payments and associated paperwork
· Experience in Peachtree by Sage for Accounting a plus
· Excellent verbal and written skills
· Valid drivers license and personal vehicle
· Ability to multi-task
· Bi-lingual a plus
· Job requires strict confidentiality

Duties
1. Accounting office duties:
· Daily bank balance and bank reconciliation posting
· Daily cash management
· Review of AP, scheduling payments and preparation of all AP checks
· Maintain bill payer worksheet and potential deposit worksheet, review with President
· Posting all receivables and preparation of all AR statements
· Collection of Accounts Receivable
· Oversee posting of accounts payable
· Responsible for monthly reconciliation of bank, all AP and AR accounts
· Eventually, produce monthly balance sheet and income/expense statements no later than the mid-month the following month
· Responsible for entering year end accounting adjusting entries from accountant and be sure that company books tie correctly to federal and state annual tax returns
· Calculate payroll, input into Peachtree and print weekly payroll checks for signature
· Making bank deposits
2. Sales office duties:
· Maybe required to type bids for sales staff
· Responsible for brochure development and updates
· Responsible for overseeing the website maintenance
· Back-up of all administrative assistant sales office duties
3. Other duties as assigned.
